SCAN’s mission is to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect throughout the Greater Richmond area by protecting children, promoting positive parenting, strengthening families and creating a community that values and cares for its children. And their 5K, Race To Protect Children, has helped them consistently bring awareness and raise money for this amazing cause.
The Race to Protect Children, held at West Broad Village, is a family friendly community event benefiting Greater Richmond SCAN.
The event will take place on Saturday, May 2nd. The 1 mile Kids Run will begin at 8:30am, followed by the 5K Run/Walk at 9:00am. The race is flat and walker friendly! The Children’s Festival will begin at 9am, and offer fun activities and performances for children and families.
Packet pick up will be hosted at Fleet Feet Sports on Thursday, April 30th from 4-7 pm.
