We have great news for you, friends! New Balance has released an updated version of their beloved 860 stability shoe. Known as a supportive and stable shoe, the 860 is now better than ever. The 860v5 is just cushioned and flexible enough, while still guiding the foot to reduce overpronation. You'll also notice a post applied dual density post which provides a consistently stable ride throughout your footstrike, and a T-BEAM designed to provide rigidity and torsional stability through midstance. The updates in more detail include:
- Cushioning: Similar to the older version, the new 860v5 has ABZORB and ACTEVA foams to assist in shock absorption and cushion from heel to forefoot. However in this model, even more intelligent geometries are designed into the sidewall meant to ensure a smooth release and compression at impact.
- Post applied medial post: This feature is designed to provide consistency and correction to the moderate overpronator
- Upper: Prepare yourselves for an even better fit than in the old version. The materials used in this new upper are generously and luxuriously soft. A no-sew upper allows the toes plenty of wiggle room, while a ghosted underlay wraps the arch for a snug midfoot feel.
- Asymmetrical heel counter: By designing the heel counter lower on the lateral side than on the medial, the shoe is able to provide a greater amount of stability.
Stop in today to test out this lightweight, but stable stability shoe.
