Meet The Team

Jason Driscoll

Jason has been an active member of the Richmond running community for the past 2 years after moving here from Northern Virginia.  In college he competed as a cross country and track athlete at the University of Mary Washington and also assistant coached there for one season.  Here in Richmond he enjoys long runs utilizing the James River trail system and racing in the occasional 5k or 10k.  Jason is a big nerd when it comes to running shoes and loves to use his experience to help people find the right shoes for them as well as give training advice to beginners and veterans alike.

Seth Huffman

Seth is a native Virginian who has recently moved back to the glorious commonwealth after a few years of seminary in the Midwest. He has had experience running middle-distance indoor/outdoor track in high school and has developed a love over the past 5 years for distance running on roads as well as trails. He completed the 2013 Blue Ridge Marathon in his hometown of Roanoke and has a fond passion for running in the mountains of Virginia. As a recent newlywed, Seth and his wife enjoy running and exploring the various parks, trail systems, and roads of Richmond. When not running or talking about running, he enjoys cycling, reading, music, and finding new coffee shops in Richmond. He is happy to meet your running needs and goals, and he will probably ask you about your favorite running, walking, hiking, and cycling routes.

Lesley Van Dyck

Lesley is a newbie to Richmond, having moved from Charlotte, North Carolina this past September. Lesley’s interest in running started when she ran high school cross country, but her passion for running didn’t bloom until she completed her first half-marathon while in graduate school. Prior to Fleet Feet, Lesley worked as a medical speech therapist, where she saw firsthand how a lack of exercise took its toll on many of her patients. Lesley is very excited to join the Fleet Feet family and is excited about encouraging our RVA neighbors to get out and be active and most importantly to have fun! In her free time, Lesley enjoys visiting local breweries, cooking/eating, and running around RVA with her fiance and dog.

Lacey Leonard

Lacey is a native Texan who attended Virginia Commonwealth University to study Sculpture. After Graduating, Lacey successfully completed 2,189 miles on the Appalachian Trail and has come back to Richmond to adjust to city life again. When Lacey is not working creatively at Fleet Feet Sports she can be found trail running, listening to records, cooking delicious meals, and making art.

Mark Overstreet

Mark is a graduate student at VCU studying to become an English teacher. He attended JMU as an undergraduate, and has been a runner since he was 14 years old. In high school, Mark ran cross-country and track, club cross country in college, and just completed his first marathon in November 2015 right here in RVA. When not in class or at work, you can find Mark running long distances, playing music, steeping teas, or reading with his beloved cat (asleep in his lap). Mark's running goal is to compete in 50-milers, and his life goal is to just keep running. One of Mark's favorite running books is Born to Run, and a very striking quote that has stuck in his brain from that book: “You don’t stop running because you grow old. You grow old because you stop running.”

Leah Reed

Originally from Austin, TX, but getting her bachelors degree for the last four years in Missouri. Leah was recruited to swim for Drury Univeristy and competed in NCAAs all four years, placing top 8 every year as well. After her swim career came to an end she picked up running and it really gave her a new identity and new outlook on life after swimming. Leah moved to Richmond last June to get her masters in occupational therapy. "I wanted to join Fleet Feet Sports as a way to get involved and meet people in my community that shared my passion for being active and living a healthy lifestyle." So far she has met some really great people!!
"Fleet Feet has also given me the opportunity to help individuals, even though it's in a small way, I feel that it makes a difference for them, and there is no better feeling. I love Richmond and everything it has to offer, it has been wonderful being a part of the Fleet Feet Sports team."

Celtia Van Niekerk

Celtia is a South African who has been living in the United States for 3 years. Her love for running started when she discovered how fast she was, narrowly beating a walking tortoise.
When she is not out walking her dogs, or at Fleet Feet, she studies law and thinks about actually doing that half marathon. She thinks Richmond is a great and very friendly City!

Emily Ashley

Emily grew up outside of Kansas City swimming for Missouri State University.  Post college and moving to the East Coast Emily is active in the endurance sport community.  While competitive in triathlons from Sprint to Ironman distances her true enjoyment is running. Currently Emily is training for her first 50k this winter.  Being part of the Fleet Feet team, Emily enjoys being able to hear about others' training journey and be of assistance in their racing goals. Emily lives with her family in Midlothian.

Allie Ellmauer

Allie grew up in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York, and moved to Virginia to attend Mary Baldwin College. She fell in love with the state and decided to pursue her law degree at the University of Richmond. She picked up running as a way to stay healthy and get out of the library. Allie has since finished a marathon, as well as several half marathons, 10Ks, and 5Ks. She credits her dog, Scout, for being the most motivating running partner, no matter how early in the day it is. When not studying or running, Allie enjoys hiking, reading, and searching for the best brunch in Richmond. Allie is thrilled to be a member of the Fleet Feet team and loves hearing customers' stories and helping them achieve their running goals!

Spencer Blanton

Originally from Richmond, Spencer moved back after college in South Carolina to be closer to her family.  In high school, she participated in tennis and track, which led to the completion of her first half marathon in 2012.  Since then, she has continued to play tennis and run.  When she is bored, you can find her wandering the aisles of Target debating if she needs any of what she has picked up.
She absolutely loves being a part of the Fleet Feet family and helping the Richmond community be more active!
