John likes to say that he got in with the "wrong crowd" after running his first marathon in 2006 - "I started running ultra-distance trail events." John was a runner in high school but ironically, preferred the shorter events - up to 400m. "I've served as a pace leader for the Richmond Marathon for the past 6 years and love helping people realize their goals." In his spare time, John likes spending time with his wife, daughters, and their dog Enzo. They also enjoy sampling the amazing Richmond restaurant scene, travelling, and camping as a family!
