John likes to say that he got in with the "wrong crowd" after running his first marathon in 2006 - "I started running ultra-distance trail events." John was a runner in high school but ironically, preferred the shorter events - up to 400m. "I've served as a pace leader for the Richmond Marathon for the past 6 years and love helping people realize their goals." In his spare time, John likes spending time with his wife, daughters, and their dog Enzo. They also enjoy sampling the amazing Richmond restaurant scene, traveling, and camping as a family!

Originally from Richmond, Spencer moved back after college in South Carolina to be closer to her family. In high school, she participated in tennis and track, which led to the completion of her first half marathon in 2012. Since then, she has continued to play tennis and run. When she is bored, you can find her wandering the aisles of Target debating if she needs any of what she has picked up. She absolutely loves being a part of the Fleet Feet family and helping the Richmond community be more active!
